Dr. Jesper Fritz is an orthopaedic knee surgeon based in Abu Dhabi who specializes in diagnosing and treating complex knee injuries and previously failed surgeries.

After completing international programs in South Africa and Australia, finishing his sports and knee surgery education in Sweden, he has been closely trained by world-renowned knee surgeons from the United States and the United Kingdom and is now covering all three main areas of medicine: Clinical expertise, research and education.

Dr. Fritz clinical practice is exclusively focused on knee injuries and previously failed surgeries, primarily in professional and recreational athletes. His expertise lies in:

As an educator, Dr. Fritz is giving professional presentations, symposia and instructional course lectures as well as teaching clinical courses for surgical techniques and decision making for fellow surgeons. He has received several awards, including “best thesis” and “best presentation” by Swedish Orthopaedic Association and American Society of Bone and Mineral Research.
Dr. Fritz is a member of several international knee societies including International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS) and American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM) and is board certified in Sweden and United Arab Emirates.

Sports and Research

In his early days he competed in pole vault and has merits from both world championships and Olympic Games (2008, Beijing) and after earning his PhD doing research to evaluate the effect of physical activity in children and adolescents, the research is now solely focused on techniques and outcomes for knee surgery.
